Smoky Bacon Cheese Ball

This is our favorite cheese ball, and I gotta have one, well... ok, maybe two, every Christmas. Smoked cheese. Bacon. What more could you want? I have to make more than one at my house, it just goes too fast!
1 8oz pck. cream cheese
1/2 cup shredded smoked Cheddar, Swiss, or Gouda Cheese
2 Tb. butter, softened (not melted)
1 Tb. milk
1 Tb. Steak sauce
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
a few drops of liquid smoke (3-4 is good)
1 green onion
1 cup finely chopped nuts, toasted

Let cream cheese and butter come to room temperature. (One hour is plenty.)Beat in bowl with milk and steak sauce and liquid smoke. Stir in bacon, onion, and smoked cheese. Cover and chill for a few hours. Shape into a ball and roll in nuts. Serve with assorted crackers.
