Buttermilk Syrup

Best syrup ever! If you have had Kneaders' syrup and love it, you're gonna want to try this soon! If you haven't had their sticky, sweet caramel goodness, my condolences. You best try this then too! Our favorite time to make this is around the holidays, but we do not limit ourselves that way at all! We have it year round. We just may over-do it certain times of the year.  Don't judge. It's addicting!

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup real butter
1 tsp. light corn syrup
Combine ingredients, bring to a boil and add:
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

(When adding the soda, it will start to foam). Turn heat to lowest setting just to keep warm. It's ready to serve over your favorite pancakes or french toast (or ice cream, or whatever you fancy).
